I’m incredibly proud of the recent transformation our team completed at our 3-unit apartment house on Jordan Avenue in Montoursville. This is the kind of finished work that truly makes a difference — it’s a beautiful apartment that will enhance the quality of life for our tenants.

We believe in doing things right the first time, which saves money in the long run and keeps our tenants happy for longer. Happier tenants tend to stay longer, and when they do, it creates a better investment for us — and a win for everyone.

The ripple effect of our work goes beyond just the property. By providing quality homes, we can positively impact the community over time, which is why we do what we do.

Unfortunately, many landlords take shortcuts, choosing to patch up problems and maximize short-term profits. The result is often unhappy tenants, neglected properties, and declining neighborhoods. This cycle continues until the property becomes run-down and difficult to rent. We know this pattern well, and it’s why we’re committed to doing the opposite.

At McHarris Realty, we find value in homes that need attention, whether they’re in solid neighborhoods or transitional areas. We go the extra mile to fix things the right way, paying attention to the little details. While it takes time, we begin by making the inside of the apartments shine, often working over the course of years to improve the exterior as well. We carefully screen tenants who will treat our properties with respect, and we take pride in keeping up with landscaping, snow removal, and setting a good example for our neighbors. We believe in lifting up a neighborhood, not dragging it down.

At the end of the day, it’s about doing good work, providing good places to live, and creating lasting positive change — not just for our tenants, but for the community as a whole.
